Hidden at the back of Dromanaʼs industrial estate youʼll find a brewery that serves as the neighbourhood watering hole. Jetty Road feels like it's everyone's local. And we mean everyone. You can even have a drink with your dog at your side.

For Head Brewer Sean Varley and Venue Manager Molly Temperley-Cassin, this is the point. Their approach is simple, approachable craft beer without any pretence. The pair have been honing their craft for just shy of three decades. The result is a refined range that doesn't look down to you and a space that invites you to slow down and take it all in.

Itʼs a tangible experience. That might have something to do with the glass wall that looks right into the brewery itself. Beers being poured just metres from where they were brewed. Itʼs that kind of transparency that makes Jetty Road something else.

Within a single tasting paddle you can pick up a collection of their core range, tried and tested, classic for good reason. The lager is clean, the pale ale pops with citrus and the IPA is a whirlwind of punchy grapefruit. Pair these with a classic pub parma, wagyu cheeseburger or some Jetty Road Fried Chicken and you're set.

Everything seamlessly works to connect you to the craft and the surrounding environment. The hardwood planks used in the bar were reclaimed from the Dromana pier, the murals were painted by local artists and the greenery is cared for by Jeff, the local gardener. The shelves are loaded with wines and spirits from their neighbours in Dromana Habitat and all their produce is Peninsula grown. Is it any surprise the ginger beer is made two doors down.

Itʼs local through and through. Weekly trivia, steak nights, live music on weekends and a raffle for good measure. Gather around the fireplace to watch the footy, play pool in the mezzanine or just enjoy life schooner in hand at the beer garden.

Off the beach and hinterland trails Jetty Road confidently defies its corrugated exterior to produce a polished list of beers and a grounded home for locals, holiday makers and day-trippers alike.
