Tucks Winery
The only fuss at Tucks Winery is that which goes into creating their food and wines. Dining options are designed for the whole family with laid-back picnic tables, bench seats and an outdoor picnic swing. Tucked next door to sister restaurant Montalto, the venue overlooks some of the Ninch's most stunning vines. Set on a 25-acre lot, little feet can run freely whilst you sip on a crisp Pinot Gris.
Kerri Greens
Level-up your weekend with a BYO picnic at Kerri Greens. Three converted water tanks house the winery, barrel room and cellar door – where friendly staff are ready to serve up Kerri Green’s finest. Not only are kids and dogs welcome, but the landscape encourages them to join in on the fun with ample space for activities and adventure.
The label has been a joint venture for local winemaker Tom McCarthy, viticulturist Lucas Blanck, and their respective partners, Sarah Saxton and Alyce Blanck. This youthful crew have a deep connection to their craft and never miss a beat. Pack your picnic baskets – don’t forget the grape juice.
Stillwater at Crittenden Estate
Planning a family outing to Stillwater is a guaranteed good time. Sit back and enjoy a well-deserved wine tasting, and Crittenden staff will gladly provide your kids with activity packs to keep little hands busy. All you'll need to worry about is which wine to take home with you.
You can cruise on outside for a bite to eat whilst the kids get stuck into a game of totem tennis or football on the large grassy field. It's the perfect balance of relaxed and refined, that's fun for the whole family. Finish the day with a stroll around the scenic lake, and feed the resident ducks.
Panton
Family-owned and run for over 25 years, Panton Vineyard offers a unique cellar door and dining experience that's suitable for all ages. You'll need to plan ahead for this one – the vineyard is only open on the first weekend of each month.
With the first plantings of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in 1996, there are now five varieties of premium quality, hand-picked, single vineyard wines for you to taste. We suggest booking in the warmer months so your little ones to make the most of the outdoor area.
Green Olive
While not technically a winery - olive wine anyone? – this sustainable little farm is a great outing for big and little kids alike. Wander the groves, vines and veggie patch before seeing the produce transformed on the plate.
If the food isn't enough to keep your kids occupied, the in-ground trampoline, playground and dam (complete with ducks. chickens and dogs) might just do! Enjoy freshly harvested food and pat yourself on the back for a day of parenting well-done.
